March 24, 2010 – It feels like spring is about to be sprung and that means new things in the store. Completely new to the store are Melissa Wyness’ bags, scarves and pins. They’re the sort of things that are perfect for the early days of spring as we start to break out of winter hibernation and start getting out to enjoy the sunshine.
Her market bags come in big and even bigger, and they’d be perfect for trips to the Farmer’s Market as the fresh produce starts to crop up. And they’re big enough to stash your coat in on the days when you aren’t expecting the weather to warm up.
They’re not just useful bags, they look nice too:
I know we’ve had some warm days recently, but there are still days when the wind gets you and you wish you had a scarf on. Melissa’s scarves are perfect for that. They aren’t too heavy for Spring and there is a fleecy side that will cut the chill.
They’d be great scarves to wear with a light jacket or blazer on a lunchtime walk through the Public Gardens (opening April 13th!).
And if you’re looking for some spring blooms to your lapel or bag, you can add one of her adorable flower pins:
The flower pins can tide you over until the real flowers start popping up in gardens around the city.
