It is that time of year folks – Construction Season!! Yes sireee – there is construction happenin’ all over the ‘Fax but most noteably there are two projects happening on the Love, Me end of Birmingham.
Honestly, the construction is a bit of drag. But we are keeping our chins up. Our neighbours, the most fabulous (and oldest in Canada) children’s bookstore, Woozles, created a super awesome window display. Way to go ladies!
And while there are lots of negatives to having TWO construction projects on either side of a small street full of great independent shops who now no longer have parking, sidewalks or visable store fronts, Woozles window display is one example of how we are all trying to grin and bear it. Other positives: it is creates good fodder for my chalkboard street sign, when they put the pine trees in the chipper it smelled like Christmas, and hopefully when it is all said and done, our street will have more activity??
So in the mean time – show upper Birmingham some love. Go for lunch at ChaBaaThai (yum!), get a mani/pedi at Bradshaw Pure Esthetics, buy some books and goodies for the kids in your life at Woozles, and then come and have a romp in Love, Me and pick up some awesome handmade treasures for you and yours.
WE ARE ALL OPEN AND WOULD LOVE YOUR SUPPORT. SEE YOU SOON.
